So I have been enjoying the sunshine while it lasts. Tomorrow, the weather is supposed to be warm again. The cats are happy, too. Zip doesn’t like rain.Especially when the others laugh at him.

I Didn’t Think It Would Ever Stop Raining
October 20, 2009Urologist
September 24, 2009I really didn’t want to go there, but I’ve been having trouble for so long. My daughter talked me into going. I want to visit my girlfriend in Arizona. I don’t want an aisle seat near the lavatory. I want to be able to sit by a window and knit. So I went. She asked a bunch of questions, most of which I said, “yes”, to. I have to go back in a month for a “procedure” that I don’t want to even think about right now. She gave me some of “those” pills to take to see if they help. I have no intention of taking them forever. I want the TVT surgery. Besides, the pills can cause constipation which I don’t need. I have hypothyroidism which makes you constipated anyway. To make a long story short, I’m depressed.
One thing I can say for the urologist, they were prompt. I only finished two rows on my sock while waiting. It was very humid today, but I still sat outside and knit for a couple of hours. I needed quiet time to think.
It was too sunny for Zip.
Cora kept me company.
Busy Week
May 30, 2009The plan was to go to Reisterstown for a few days, visit and maybe ride up to Pennsylvania to shop. But it didn’t happen. Wednesday morning, I noticed the tag on Win’s car was about to expire. I wound up driving it back that evening since it had to be inspected by Friday. We took it to DMV Thursday morning. It passed and we bought a two year sticker. Win drove my car back Thursday afternoon.

Don't believe anything she says
This morning around 6AM, Olive and Zip decided to play king and queen of the clothes basket. After they settled down, Gus started snoring. I finally gave up and got up at 7Am. I read for a while, then cooked sausage for breakfast. When Win got up, I made pancakes. He wanted to go to the Beach. Luckily, he didn’t care if I went with him. I think that if I had had a good night’s sleep, I would have liked to have gone also.
Well, Friday evening is finally here. Things are back to normal. We went out to eat with the neighbors, then Win went home. Maybe, I’ll o again in a few weeks, and, hopefully, the sunhat will be finished.
On the knitting front, I’ve started another pair of gloves. I’m using Noro sock yarn. I’m up to the little finger all ready. Gloves are instant gratification. I’ll post a picture when I find my camera.
First Day Out
March 9, 2009With the beautiful weather, we felt it was time for Olive to venture outside. We left the screens open at little cat width and before long she tried the great outdoors. She was very nervous and never left the deck. She went in and out several times, but only for a few minutes each time.
Zip, on the other hand, had a great time. It was so very nice not to have snow squishing between his toes with every step.
He checked the neighbor’s shed. He can’t resist an open door.
Remember last Tuesday?
Check it out now.
Maude is Still Out
December 16, 2008You can see her there in the yard. She said, “It’s not cold. I”m not coming in.”
Here she is sitting on the deck railing this afternoon.
Since I don’t have very many ornaments that can stand up to this kind of treatment, it didn’t take me long to trim the Christmas tree. I have also decided to display the Nativity in the glassed in china closet.
It’s Over
November 28, 2008Sorting Fabric
October 22, 2008I have been sorting my fabric stash off and on for the past several days. I finished this morning and cut out a few things. I have five fabrics for nightgowns, but I was planning on two or three. How did that happen? At least it’s good for quilting. As a matter of fact, they would all make a very nice looking quilt. The Christmas quilt that Doug wants me to make for our bed needs a few plain colors. There’s more than enough for the bed and a small quilt. I spent entirely too much time looking for matching solid fabrics today. There are plenty of the patterned fabrics, and Iknow there are solids out there. It seems no one is advertising them. I guess I am going to have to do it the old fashioned way and call around. Jeeze!
It’s very windy today and Zip doesn’t like it one bit. His fur gets blown the wrong way. It’s all our fault. Maude doesn’t like the wind either. She doesn’t have much fur and gets cold. She’s been in and out several times. Elvis, on the other, was out for quite a while. He was sleeping on the bricks. I tossed a few acorns at him to make sure he was still alive. He thinks the others are whoozes.
