I used both yarns to produce a checker look.  I held one thread in each hand.  You may need to untangle your fingers every few rows.

Gusset.
I hate trying to write this part so I hope you’ve knit enough socks to understand what I am saying here.  Knit across heel and pick up 20 sts along side. Knit 36 front and pick up 20 along other side.   98 sts on ndls. Knit to 3 sts before instep, K2tog, k1, pm, k36, k1,ssk to end. Knit one round. Repeat these two rounds until 72, 66, or 60 sts remain. Mine are 66.
I switched colors as desired being certain to use twice as much multi as purple.
Continue to knit until 1.5″ shorter than desired length.
I like a round toe.
Decrease 6 sts evenly for one round.  Knit one round. Repeat these 2 rounds until 30 or 24 sts remain. Then decrease 6 sts every round until 12 remain. Finish with Kitchener st.

I hope you like my socks.  I am really happy with them and for once I am actually thinking about making this design again even though there are a million patterns that I want to try.

Happy Socks, Frivolous Fluffy.
