I am very happy with the way this is looking. There are no shoulder seams. You knit down from the back.It nice to do something different. The yarn is a lovely combination of cotton, wool and nylon. It feels soft and is easy to knit.
Olive helped.
Cora is doing her exercises. She likes to drag herself across the rug.
At least it’s not raining any more. We had some flooding in the yard. I am so glad we had our bulkhead done a foot higher than the rest.
Cora had a grand time. She was outside most of the day. Now, she’s sound asleep on the living room rug.
Here she is checking out some geese.
The Man.
It makes for very difficult blogging. I’ve got two more baby socks to show you and some great pictures of Cora.
I went back to the urologist yesterday. I had no idea it was possible to put all that up a person’s bladder. I’ve got to go back in a month. This time I was given a gel to try. It’s not supposed to have the side effects. We’ll see. I hate the ‘try this, try that’ business.
It’s very windy today. I could have spent the day sitting on my neighbor’s pier out on the river. It was so beautiful. Some of the waves were so hard that it felt like someone or something was kicking the pier.
The girls loved chasing the leaves. They were out all day.
Cora found it safer to sit on the railing.
So we went out.

These socks are fun to make. I had never made toe-up socks before. I’m still not sure if I’ll make myself a pair. I like the diagonal line so I may. Flo wasn’t much help.
I started work on a small wall quilt for Jen for Christmas. It has finally gotten too cool to be outside. I didn’t too far. When I was changing the blade, I sliced my thumb a little. Luckily, I didn’t get any blood on the fabric.
It’s not cold enough to turn the heat on, so I make lime bars to warm it up a little this afternoon. This evening, we have a fire going.
So I have been enjoying the sunshine while it lasts. Tomorrow, the weather is supposed to be warm again. The cats are happy, too. Zip doesn’t like rain.
Especially when the others laugh at him.
It was almost too cool to sit on the deck and knit today. I am almost up to the toe. Maybe I’ll finish them tomorrow. I’m a little depressed today. A friend’s husband is not doing well. I’m trying to be non-committal here.
I decided to call Agnes and invite her to Girls Day Out next month. We had a good chat and I felt much better for having called her. She is going to meet me at my house in Reisterstown. Hopefully, June will be able to come, too. Since Diana reads my blog(and NEVER comments), I won’t have to e-mail her.
This guy has been coming by the last couple of days. Well, he may be a her. At first I was thinking abandoned cat, but when Gus barked at him, he headed for the recently rented house. I felt better. He seems to be fascinated with the water. He likes to go down the steps at my bulkhead at low tide. He stays down there for several minutes. I’ve never seen any of my cats do that.
OK. Back to knitting. I am hoping to wear them tomorrow evening.
