Where to Find my Entrelac Hat Pattern

December 10, 2008

Look at the pages on the right.  I put my pattern there so it will be easy to find.  I looked for my scarf pattern, but it must not have been copied from my old computer.  I do have a hard copy and I will try to make myself sit down and type it out.    Also, when I get around to it, I am going to make gloves to go with these socks.

This pattern is from Lucy Neatby’s sock book.

I Never Know What to Wear

December 9, 2008

It was nearly forty degrees warmer today than yesterday.  It’s supposed to be the same tomorrow with rain thrown in.  The rain will continue into Friday, but the temperature will drop.  I am going to get “P” pneumonia!

Excuse me.  I have to go down to the basement and point at boxes that are clearly marked as Christmas for my husband.  Olive can hardly wait.  The others have told her all about it.

Free Entrelac Hat Pattern—1000 Hits

December 9, 2008

Gee, thanks, guys.  I only wish that I knew who you were.  I should do something to celebrate.  How about another free pattern?  What should it be?  How about the matching scarf?   I also have a couple of sock patterns, one of which has an entrelac cuff.  I’ll have to dig through my stuff.

I finished my red socks yesterday at knitting group.  Afterward, I went out to dinner with one of the girls and we had a great time.

This is the first really cold day we’ve had since last winter.  It stayed in the upper twenties.  I had to cut my walk short this morning.  I was too stiff.  Also, the frost on the creek never melted.  It was unbelievably quiet.

I Didn’t Mean to Scare You

Elvis is fine.  As a matter of fact, he is quite perky.  He went to the vet yesterday to get a steroid shot.  He even went outside today to go potty.

Here he is helping himself to some dog food.  He heard it’s good for his teeth.

You got a problem with that?

Elvis Was Coughing Again

December 5, 2008

The vet said to bring him in and a technician would give him a shot.  I wound up staying longer than I had planned.  It seemed they were down two people and the girl at the front desk didn’t know shit from shinola.   Elvis was a good boy and  it only cost ten dollars so I can’t complain.

I Accomplished Something

December 5, 2008

I paid my bills and ordered the rest of my Christmas presents.  There were no phone calls, no stamps and no driving.  Don’t you just love technology?

Just check out the socks!  Speaking of socks, only five inches left on my red socks.

Wednesday Already?

December 4, 2008

I’ve been ‘kinda’ busy today.  I tried to put a handle on the clutter, but it didn’t work out very well.  So, I took a shower and washed my hair.  Everything looked fine after that.  We went food shopping.  They had green bananas and naval oranges.  Life is good.

I finished the heel on my second red sock and started the decreases.  When I picked up along the sides, I had 21 stitches on one side and 19 on the other so I had play with it a little.  See the square needles.  They feel odd at first, but they work very well, especially on k2tog.  I made the first sock using round needles and there is no difference in size.  I just wish there were six instead of the usual five needles.  I like to have six when I make socks and sometimes seven.

I’m Back

Shopping

December 2, 2008

It went fairly well.   There are a couple of things I still need to get, but I know what they are.  Jenn is pretty well set, also.  I will be heading back tomorrow.
