I wasn’t going to do this anymore. Then, the bill showed. I thought, “why not?” That was in October. My right shoulder hurt so much my whole arm was pretty useless. I gave in and had surgery. I read everything I could find beforehand, but I still regretted it at times. I’ve had two months of physical therapy with at least another month to go. It is definitely better. It works differently. It’s kind of weird.

July 1, 2020Monday morning I woke up to trees being removed at the house next to me. Not a bad idea if you a view of the creek, but it’s Wednesday. I’m beginning to wonder. Are they leaving any? I have visions of their house slipping into the creek.
The guy by the road got another dump trunk load of dirt for his back, so he was pushing that around all day. Normally, he only does this evenings and weekends. He must have taken the day off. His land has always been lower than the rest of us and he’s trying to remedy it. It needs a lot of work.
Then on the other side, my neighbor has decided to put in a boat ramp. He has had several truckloads of rocks delivered. I’m not talking three inch rocks. I’m talking three foot bolder type. Do you know what that sounds like falling out of a big truck? And it’s right at the river’s edge.
I managed to snap a few pictures of a mother Wood Duck and her chicks in the rain. I was surprised to see them by the house.

I was finally able to get a pedicure. The place that I usually use has not re-opened. I really liked this girl so I think I will stay with her.

My daughter asked if I would make it for her husband’s daughter’s birthday in April. Since I really like this guy, I said yes. We had most of the supplies. I only needed pale yellow yarn and long pipe cleaners.
The cheeks were a bit of a problem. The pattern said to apply blush. That’s it. We tried fabric pens and craft paint on yarn pieces. The best was a pink Sharpie applied to a Q-Tip and gently blotted to the cheeks. Talk about holding your breath!
She’s at Comicon in Chicago dressed as Captain Marvel so I think she’s going to like it.

September 28, 2018I don’t know about you, but I really like getting pedicures. Most nail places around here are not unlike a greasy spoon. You’re not sure of the food on your plate and you’re definitely not going to use their lavatory.
Happily, there is The Day Spa in Blades. Everything is fresh and clean and the ladies are just lovely and it’s just one mile from my house.
They are also very accommodating.
Still Working on the Quilt
March 16, 2018My laptop did a flip-flop. I couldn’t take just sitting there sewing the binding. I can’t do one thing at a time. It gets very boring very quickly. I realize that is takes longer, but it wouldn’t be finished otherwise. At my current rate, it should be finished by next Thursday.
I went to see my doctor yesterday. We talked about my pain. I told him I would prefer to stay with my current program. At least I can sleep at night. Otherwise, I would be on a narcotic which I do not want. I told him about seeing another neurologist. Hs is going to talk to the orthopedic which is what I really want. We’ll see.
I Had to Step Away
January 17, 2018I was dealing with too much sh*t. I couldn’t write without the aggravation coming through. I do not like being that way. I decided that it was best to wait. I didn’t plan on taking so long. Hopefully, I am back.

Busy Week
September 5, 2017Last week, I never seemed to have the time to write. My daughter stopped by for a short visit. She seems so very happy these days. The last two years have been pretty hard for her. It is so great to see those big brown eyes sparkle again. Mothers worry.
My son came by on Friday. He had been in Ocean City for the week. He said he had a lot of fun. He even went parasailing with a friend. This really surprised me. He is very near-sighted (like me before cataract surgery) and tends to be cautious.
My new rug finally came and I love it and so does Don. I also got a runner for the foyer. Sweetums is so tickled with it, he wants a small one for the back door. I wonder how long it will take to get here.
I am also making a dress. I’ve been wanting to make this all Summer. It’s supposed to be cooler the next several days. Will I get a chance to wear this year?
New Floor

The ugly pink plush carpeting is gone and I have a beautiful new floor. Don says it’s too slippery so I ordered a new rug. He’s going to have to wait a few weeks.
We managed to find queen size sleeper sofa that wasn’t ugly and was comfortable to sit on. When I saw this floor lamp, I had to buy it.
Now I am wondering if the sofa will go with rug.
