I really really really want to make this raincoat. I spent about six hours looking over laminated fabric. When I saw that yellow, I knew I found what I wanted. The lining fabric was some I all ready had. It complements the yellow so well.
The thing is—-I have a dress to put together. When I saw the dress required bias tape, I felt much better. I got out my cutter and went to town.
Naturally, I made too much.
I have some leftover, but I’ll use it on something else, sooner or later.
My old one went ‘somewhere’ when we moved. I thought, I really don’t need one anymore. Then, last week, while getting my hair done, the rain came down in buckets. Even though I was parked right outside the door, I didn’t want to chance it. A hooded raincoat would have been nice. My favorite quilt shop was having a sale. I bought Amy Butler’s raincoat pattern, but I didn’t like any of their laminated fabric. I started looking elsewhere. I had no idea there were so many. I spent about two hours looking yesterday and another hour today and I still haven’t made up my mind. You know it can’t be ordinary. Totally bizarre is probably my best bet—less likely to get run over. I don’t know. I don’t know. I think I’ll go knit.
Out on the deck, of course.
I finished my monthly mini hangy thingy today.
Usually, I make two cat squares.
The trouble is —– I really want to make another Tulip Purse. I bought laminated fabric in three different designs with lining fabric that “kind of” goes with it. I couldn’t make up my mind so I bought all three and now, I can’t decide which one to make first.
But, you know. There’s that little change purse kit I bought.
I think I’ll go knit.
