I had a great time, but it’s nice to be home.

I think Maude was happy with her present. Even though the song was pretty bad this year.

I certainly liked mine. Look how tiny it is! Please do not enlarge this picture. My hands look awful.

There was some stuff on sale for my sewing machine that I wanted to try. I had been reading about them in the Yahoo group. Well, I still wasn’t satisfied after a demonstration so I bought nothing. To make matters worse, the farmers market wasn’t open so the whole trip was a bust.
So I came back and took a bath. I do like that big old bathtub. I told Doug he could take it down to the other house. He just looked at me funny. What did I say?
Later, we went to Petsmart. I got old cat cat chow for Elvis and anew toy and some kitty treats for Biscuit.
This computer is acting weird so I will close.
We had a nice day. Doug got here about 8:45 and we opened gifts. We got to Jenn’s around 9:30. Jenn had a new waffle iron that made great waffles. John made omelets which were also great. Their niece and nephew came with friends. A few more relatives came. It was very homey.
Jenn gave me an iPod Nano in yellow. It was totally unexpected. It is so tiny and fits very nicely in my hand. I can hardly wait to get home and download stuff.
I’m going to Reisterstown for Christmas.

I miss you. You died too young. You made Christmas exciting. I still remember the trains taking up most of the living room. I remember your smile. I remember wrapping my entire hand around your little finger when I was little. I loved you and I knew that you loved me.
First I made Louie’s Famous Chocolate Chip Cookies. These are the best chocolate chip cookies I have ever tasted. And I just want to say, “Thank you, Louie”. You are remembered.
Next came chocolate cookies with white chocolate mint striped little chunks. We didn’t know what else to do with the stupid chunks and these came into being. We thought they were peppermint.

It was bitterly cold today, only 23 degrees and very windy when we went for our walk. We didn’t even get to the end of the road. Even Gus was ready to go home and curl up in his chair.

I finished it at knitting group this afternoon. I need to try it on before it’s official. I have even started the second sock. The toe was supposed to be solid, but I twined knitted with both colors for more durability.

It rained all night and until noon today. Maude was very vocal about it. We have got to stop doing this. It’s all our fault you know that she can’t go out. Olive is learning a lot from Maude.

Luckily for us, the rain stopped and she got to go out. Olive is still too young to go out, but she has been practicing on the Christmas tree for when the time comes.
Yeah! I think I’ll have a piece of pie and watch a movie.
It looks like a Muscovy duck. There used to be a bunch of them by the restaurant on Route 13. Since it closed, they had been leaving a few at a time. It was raining all day so these pictures aren’t very good.

They took all day. I was creaky. I was cranky. I did some knitting. I watched a couple of movies. We went out and got a pizza. When we got back, I turned on the oven and now the pies are cooking. Their lovely aroma is filling the house. I shouldn’t, but I’ll probably have a piece before going to bed. I have to go cut cheese.
