You don’t see this much in the summer.
I had my annual visit to the ophthalmologist this morning. My doctor retired recently so I tried the new guy. He seems a decent sort. He was efficient.
When I was four, my brother hit me in the eye with a slingshot. We wound up at Hopkins very late at night. I remember having a drop of blood rolling around my eye. It was making my mother sick so I tilted my head whenever she was looking at me. I developed a cataract from it. I’ll have to get it removed eventually. Barf.
I was thinking about getting red frames, but I got violet instead. My insurance allows me to get a free pair every year which is good because my prescription is always changing. And I like variety.
I stopped at Mernie’s on the way home and bought fresh corn and peaches. The corn was delicious. Doug ate four ears and I had two. It is so nice to be able to eat corn on the cob again. Which reminds me. I need to see the dentist soon. Cora tried to peel a peach, but she didn’t do a very good job. I told her to stick to purring.
When I got home, I couldn’t go out because my pupils were still dilated. So I sat down and FINALLY finished writing my hat pattern. I have been so lazy this summer, it is down right embarrassing.

What a pretty photo. Looks dreamy and peaceful.
Maybe Cora thought the peach was a ball of yarn.
You should not be embarrassed. Summer is for being lazy!
