And The Winner Is

Here is Stacy who happens to own The Fine Needle in Snow Hill, MD, picking the winner. I’ll have to go there sometime. Check out her shoes. They are lime and her socks are pink and purple–my kind of colors.

Nancy!! She wins a pair of hand knit gloves in a yarn of her choice.

I was surprised that it wasn’t Christine. She had the most entries. So I decided that she should get the booby prize. A pair of hand knit mittens in a yarn of her choice. I’ll even throw in an index finger. Please specify right or left.

Here are your choices.

The four in the upper right hand corner is enough for one pair of mittens. I need your size. You could measure everything, scan your hand or draw around your hand. If you want these for a loved one, that’s fine, too.

Oh my goodness…Awww…that is so sweet. I don’t think that I can pick. You can surprise me. I am right handed so the right index finger. Then I can pinch my sweetie if he gets out of line. I am 7 in. from wrist to tip of middle finger and about 3 1/2 in. across hand without the thumb. Thank you ever so much.

You are so welcome. You know, I have have friends that know better than to ask to be surprised. So many ideas come to mind. I don’t know. I don’t know. Ah, yes! Something in twined knitting for extra warmth. You do live in the frozen tundra, don’t you? Where is that folder from Beth Brown-Reinsel’s class? Where is that pattern? Where is that book?

Wow! What a surprise! I never win anything! My luck has turned around! I like the yarn in the third picture down, the bottom skein in the forth row to the right. It is a muti-blue. I’ll e-mail you my hand measurements. This is really neat!

What is the differance between the index finger and the middle finger? Is not the index finger the pointy finger? The best one to go with the thumb in order to pinch a loved one ifthey need it? And isn’t the middle finger the one that some people love to wave at people who annoy them? Have I got this wrong?

Hint. The difference between my index finger and my middle finger is half an inch. I am begining to think that you must be related to my husband. I thought he was the most off the wall person I had ever met. No wonder I am always beating my head against the wall.
Hey! Give your husband a kiss for me. He deserves it.
