Up a Creek in Lower Slower Delaware

While Win was at work, I went looking for a table.  I almost bought one at a used office furniture store.  One of the taps was off a leg, but the guy didn’t want to dicker, so I left it.  I could tell it wasn’t a standard cap and we would have to make one.  I have dickered with these people before so I don’t know what the problem was.   Better to walk away.  I went to a couple of other places, but had no luck.  I did buy and Christmas ornament and a Halloween card.  I went back to the house to take a bath.  I was in a lot of pain from walking on the concrete.

When I got back, there was a large cardboard envelope on the porch.  It was from Win’s college.   He was so excited, he could hardly get it out.  He held it and read the whole thing down to each signature.  He had such a happy look on his face.  I was happy, too.  I said that I would take him out to dinner to anywhere he wanted.   He chose Cheeburger Cheeburger.  All he wanted was a really good milk shake.

Later, we went to Readings and Greetings.  It’s a great place to find a gift.  I found another Halloween card.  Win wanted a Beanie Baby that looked like Biscuit.  I bought Jenn a Jim Shore Halloween cat for being so helpful.  They had free gift wrapping.  Perfect.
