I’m 63 Today

I’m glad to still be alive. Being 62 bothered me. I had to see a cardiologist last year before hip surgery. After some tests, they discovered nothing. I was relieved, but still bothered. I have known of too many people that died at 62. I have all this yarn and fabric and all the other crap that goes with it. It was stupid feeling this way. Now I feel like I have a good twenty years to go. I’m sure my daughter would be relieved because Doug would give her all my stuff. She’s more mechanical than creative. She sews and embroiders beautifully, but she prefers to read and follow directions. I read directions and do whatever I want anyway. I love her dearly. She is the best daughter. She is a great Mother. She is a better Mother than me. Ask my son. When he was little, he called her his “Mommy Sister”. I may not be a great Mother, but I am better than my mother. We won’t get into that here. Anyway, she sends me the best cards. They make me feel so loved that I can’t help but cry. Kevin is so lucky to have her for a Mother.

She also has great hair.

Hope you have a great Birthday. Glad you have made it over the 62 year hurdle. It is funny how sometimes we get those kind of ideas in our heads and even though we know that it makes no sense we just can’t shake them. I am sure your daughter will be relieved and now you will have time to finish lots of projects. It sure is a blessing to have a wonderful daughter. I know because I have two of them 🙂
