Buzzards

This was definitely one of those days that I was glad the neighbors put up a fence.

For some reason, I saw no other birds until after they left.

    Are these black vultures? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_vulture According to this Wikipedia page, they are mainly scavengers but can also feed on eggs or young chicks. May be the other birds felt threatened by them? It’s a remarkable sight though!

    I call them vultures, but the people around here call them buzzards. I guess I have fallen into that habit. They are quite large. I have seen one drag a racoon across the road to eat without getting hit himself.
