New Kitty, New Windows, New Knee, Same Old Sweetums

I wasn’t going to bother with this anymore, but a few people actually asked about it.  We will see how it goes.  Now.  Where do I start?

Most of our windows were fifty years old and needed replacement.  They were done in three stages. The last was a few days before knee surgery.  I didn’t know they were coming in time and I got a migraine.  Luckily my medication was not on the forbidden list, but it still took two days to work.  The surgery was worth it.  I don’t have that awful deep pain that completely incapacitated me and I don’t have to take any drugs for it. That included a ton of laxatives.

Here’s our new kitty, Tony, sitting in my new kitchen window.

It is bigger than the old window and one piece of glass.  We bought this house in 2002 and never opened that window.  I could do without mullions, but you can’t have everything.  The cats like the new ledge.  They “chitter” to the birds.  More tomorrow.  Well, maybe.  I’m making Shepherd’s pie tonight.

Beautiful, all of it! The window, the lack of pain and of course the kitty! He reminds me very much of the first tomcat I had many years ago. The same “What are you looking at, human?” expression. 😀 The same colour, too… 🙂 We have a ginger Tom and a tortoise shell Ninja Bops now, and as of today also an adult Alaskan Husky, which led to a bit of panic with the cats (“Who let the wolf in?!!!”). But we hope it will all settle down soon enough.
